Edward S. Jeffords has resided in Wayne County over the last 23 years. He is originally from Waycross, Ga. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Southern Technical Institute in Marietta, Ga in 1984. He is employed at Rayonier Performance Fibers’ Jesup Mill. He started his career as a Project Engineer with the Southeast Central Engineering Division and up until recently as the Jesup Mill's Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendent. Most recently Ed is working in a developmental position in the Jesup Mill Utility Department.

Ed is married to Gina Jeffords and has two children Austin and Addison. They attend the First United Methodist Church of Jesup. Ed is a member of the Wayne County Partners in Education and a member of Martha Puckett Middle School Council. Ed has been on the Wayne County Board of Commissioners since January 1, 2007 as the District V Commissioner.
