Franklin Smith is the current Chairman of the County Commission. He is serving his first full term of office after filling Gene Graham's seat. He retired from Georgia Natural Gas with 29 years as an Operations Supervisor. He is married to Pat with two sons, Craig and Brian, daughter-in-law Nikki, and one granddaughter Brianna.
