Wayne County Transit

Wayne County Transit provides transportation to the consumers of Wayne Service Center, Aging, Mental Health, Department of Family and Children Services and Dept. of Labor – Vocational Rehabilitation. These trips have to be ordered through each of the agencies that are connected to the Department of Human Resouces. The Wayne County Transit is also open to the public.
Carolyn McKenzie is the dispatcher for the Wayne County Transit System. She is the first person someone talks to when they call 427-5914. We ask that everyone call at least three days advance to schedule an appointment – sometimes it may take longer to get an appointment because of van and driver availablilty. Once an appointment has been made and Carolyn has scheduled you into the computer – each driver gets a printout for each trip ordered.
