Chapter 34 TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES* Sec. 34-1. Uniform rules of the road adopted. Sec. 34-1. Uniform rules of the road adopted. (a) Pursuant to O.C.G.A. chapter 6 of title 40, §§ 40-6-372 through 40-6-376, O.C.G.A. §§ 40-6-1 through 40-6-395 of that chapter known as the Uniform Rules of the Road and the definitions contained in O.C.G.A. § 40-1-1 are hereby adopted as and for the traffic regulations of this county, with like effect as if recited herein. (b) Unless another penalty is expressly provided by law, every person convicted of a violation of any provision of this section shall be punished in accordance with section 1-12. Sec. 34-2. Weight restriction on Old Doctortown Road. (a) The road described below known as Old Doctortown Road is hereby closed to vehicles having more than two axles and, together with cargo, exceeding a net weight of 10,000 pounds, with the exception of such vehicles making deliveries on Old Doctortown Road: Old Doctortown Road: That segment of road shown as County Road #18 beginning at State Routes 23 and 38 and continuing northeasterly for a distance of 1.9 miles to the New Doctortown Road. (b) Any person convicted of a violation of this section shall be punished
as provided in section 1-12. |
