Building Inspections

July 1, 2006 began Building Inspection processes in Wayne County unincorporated areas. Fees are set by the Wayne County Commissioners. Currently permits are required on new houses, business, mobile homes - new and used being set-up. At the present time, permits are not required for additions or remodeling. (If you are located inside city limits, see their ordinances for requirements)

Download Building Permit form and fees, fill it out and bring it in to Wayne County Tax Assessors office. Walnut Street @ Pine. Before you come in to get your permit, make sure you have the following:
