Federal Emergency Management Agency has revised the flood maps for Wayne County, Jesup, Odum and Screven. Copies have been mailed out and can be reviewed for comments.A preliminary meeting has been set for Oct 20th at 10:30 am for commissioners and community officials. The purpose of the meeting will be to officially present the findings contained in the flood Insurance study and flood insurance rate map and to solicit comments.Represention from Screven, Odum, Jesup and Wayne County are ask to attend. A special time has been set aside for public comment at 12:00 to 1:30 PM after preliminary meeting.
Hard copies of preliminary maps are available at the Administration office for veiwing. We over layed new maps with the old map to show new areas effected. Also a wall map is on display in the Tag Office to view. For a quick look at the map and to download the full larger map, CLICK HERE.
